Thermylene® SoForm™

Thermylene®

Thermylene® represents our family of specialty compounded polypropylene products, characterized by a range of enhanced capabilities and features. Our customers use our highly versatile Thermylene® compounds in a diverse array of applications ranging from automotive structural components (underhood, interior, exterior) to performance-driven industrial applications (pool & spa, furniture, appliance, tools).

Many of our Thermylene® plastic compounds are preferred for their distinct balance of strength and stiffness. Often reinforced with talc or glass fiber, these polypropylene compounds are most commonly used for general applications. Learn more about Thermylene®.

SoForm™

SoForm™, a product of the Thermylene® family, delivers excellent scratch resistance with haptics surface feel and increased durability, great for highly visible aesthetic applications. We offer several glass-fiber-reinforced SoForm™ products perfect for use in automotive interior, furniture and appliance applications. Leona™

Leona represents our global portfolio of specialty Polyamide 66 and 66,6i based compounds. We offer glass fiber, mineral and unreinforced Leona™ products for your industrial needs. Our Leona™ products over unique performance attributes, allowing them to be well-suited for a variety of highly demanding automotive, electronic and structural applications, including metal replacement with good aesthetics. Thermylon®

Depending on your application’s needs, you may consider one of our glass-fiber-reinforced Thermylon® plastic compounds. Xyron™

Modified Polyphenylene Ether (mPPE)

Another type of engineering polymer we offer is modified polyphenylene ether (mPPE). Under the Xyron™ brand, we produce unique alloy compounds of polyphenylene ether (mPPE), Polystyrene (PS) and Polyamide (PA) that deliver diverse performance attributes including flame-resistance, high temperature performance, low warpage and paintablity. This makes it ideal for use in critical electronic and automotive components.

Our Xyron™ product line features modified polyphenylene ether (mPPE). We produce unique alloy compounds of polyphenylene ether (mPPE), Polystyrene (PS) and Polyamide (PA). These deliver diverse performance attributes including flame-resistance, high temperature performance, low warpage and paintablity. Tenac™ and Tenac™-C

Polyoxymethylene (POM)

If you’re looking for a thermoplastic that offers excellent stability, our polyoxymethylene products could be the plastic solution you need. Also known as polyacetal (POM), this material is common in commercial applications that require attributes like good durability, excellent aesthetics, low friction and wear resistance.

We are basic producers of Polyacetal grades via state of polymerization techniques. This material typically comes in two different forms, including homopolymers and copolymers. You can find Tenac™ compounds in our product portfolio.

Fillers & Reinforcements

Calcium Carbonate

This common plastic filler is often used to balance stiffness, toughness and dimensional stability in polymers. Calcium carbonate is common in polypropylene resins, including several of our Thermylene® products.

Carbon Fiber

Carbon fiber-reinforced polymers are strong and light, which makes them versatile and easy to use. Several of our Tenac™ copolymers come with carbon fiber reinforcements.

Glass Fiber

Glass fiber is a common reinforcement that we use in our Leona™, Thermylene®, Thermylon®, Xyron™ and Tenac® products to enhance its strength and stiffness properties.

Milled Glass Fiber

We offer multiple products, such as our Leona™ plastics, with milled glass fiber reinforcements to ensure long-lasting performance in high-demand applications.

Flame Retardants

We offer highly flame resistant, UL certified polymer compounds in Xyron™, Leona™, Tenac™ and Thermylene® brands to make your application safety complaint.

Talc

We use talc for some of our most efficient Thermylene® polymers, all of which are manufactured with sturdy polypropylene.

Other Fillers

We possess the ability to design all our products using a variety of other fillers and reinforcements as needed to deliver the performance necessary for your application’s success.
